Rainy day Biography

I can't get my dang pictures to upload on my computer and have been using that as well as the lack of time as excuses in not posting. Today I decided since I have some extra time to just forget about the pictures. I seriously need to write at least some sort of update. I was before Thanksgiving since my last post. Bad me...Bad me!
Thanksgiving was wonderful! It was great having all the family here in Pahrump. Already having two brothers (Will and Joe and their families) in Pahrump is nice but having Adam, Nathan, Mike and his family, Debbie and her family, Mom and Dad, Aunt Linda and her family, Uncle Buck and some of his kids is just excellent. The food was amazing, the family talent show was a hit, and the Turkey 5k run was a great way to start the day. It was great catching up on everyone's life in person. I think one of the highlights of the weekend was seeing Anna Kate (Mike and Jenna’s one year old little girl) in person. It’s been since her blessing that we saw her last. She is a bundle of happiness! Ellie and Gent loved running around with so many cousins to play with. Tim loved all the "boy" time. And I actually had time to read a book-Love, Star girl by Jerry Spinelli -which I happily just found out they have made into a movie. Debbie with her family stayed at our house a couple of nights. It was great having them as company. To end the weekend Jay-Debbie’s husband treated the whole and I mean WHOLE family to a breakfast buffet in town. We had so much family there that we took up about a third of the restaurant.

Great news-we found out Tim passed his big ethics part of the bar test. I'm sure he'll do just as well on the rest of it. I'm grateful he had Nathan to study with.

Zion's first tooth poked through last night. Our children are late teethers. Eleven months has been the earliest for us now and it always happens to be their goofy teeth. The two teeth on the top of the mouth sandwiching the front teeth. Crazy Coincidence?!! I don't know.

Gent is my little angel...most of the time. He does have this rebellious streak in him and has to test the limits at least once a day. If it wasn't for his sweet little voice saying "I love you mom, will you forgive me?" after pretty much each of these incidences I would not call him my little angel. He's gotten into some silly routines like most kids before he goes to sleep. like having to share his testimony after each nightly scripture study, before family prayer, getting his hug, love, and kiss from both mommy and daddy, then getting tuck, tuck, tucked in with his yellow blankie, zipped up (he now has to sleep in his sleeping bag as well) and last but not least getting handed his cold sippy cup of water. It is a long process putting him to bed. And if he gets up to use the bathroom...he'll want to start the process all over again. Humph!! We sure do love his creativity.

Ellie gave her second talk in Primary yesterday and pretty much did it all on her own. She recited John 3:16 and then explained what that scripture meant to her. She didn't need any help until at the end when she forgot how to close a talk. She amazes me with her love for the gospel. The other day when Tim and I asked her why Christmas is so special to which she replied "because its baby Jesus and my birthday."

So in a nutshell life this Christmas season is wonderful. We are excited to join Tim’s side of the family in Utah at the end of this week.
