Another reason to party!

I should have posted these about three weeks ago, but life kept happening. Here are a few pictures (Thanks to Aunt Kathryn) that capture the fun that our kids had at the Pahrump Harvest Festival.

Cousin Makayla, friend Lexa, Cousin Alysssa, Ellie, Cousin Emily, Gent

It’s a county fair that Pahrump has once a year to celebrate the start of fall and the time of harvest. And who wouldn't want to celebrate the start of fall. Especially when it means cooler weather! Our little Sutton clan joined my two older brother’s family along with some other friends in a pizza party to kick off the night and then we rode rides until we were either tired, sick, or both. Zion was as content as can be being pushed in the stroller taking in the sounds and smells of a local fair. Ellie and Gent had a blast riding every ride they were tall enough to get on. Even the "pirate ship"!! The mini roller coaster was their favorite. Thanks to Uncle Will helping out with Zion, Tim and I were able to join the kids in riding a lot of the rides. Because it was the first night the fair was open and being on a Thursday (school) night there were no lines. The kids had no idea how lucky that was. They could run from one ride to the next without any interruption and hop right on. On the way out we stopped to look at some of the animals and I saw the largest pig I've ever seen in my whole life. As we were watching this pig, it picked up the side of its pin with the tip of his nose, and wiggled himself halfway through it. About 5 people came running to get the pig back safe and sound locked all the way back up in his pin. One of the guys there mentioned that pigs like this can have up to two tons worth of strength in their neck muscles. That could have made for an interesting experience having that pig out and running. Our kids can’t wait until next year and neither can I!

Sounds like you had a fun time! I think everyone should celebrate fall. I love it! Your kids are so cute! I can't believe how much older Gent looks!
